Trash Policy & Collection Day

Trash and debris continue to be a problem within the community.  Trash improperly disposed of on the property;  Trash put out days before scheduled trash days (regular, recycled and bulk trash) and Trash not placed in the proper containers allowing feral cats and other wildlife to get into the trash have an negative impact on the community.

Trash Removal (Do not place or discard trash on common areas)

Effective July 1, 2024, Trash collection day is Thursday.

Regular, Recycled & Bulk Trash:  Trash is picked up once a week on Thursday.  Put trash out, at curbside in front of your home, the evening prior to or before 5:00 am on the scheduled trash pickup days.  All trash must be placed in trash receptacles and placed at the curb for pickup.  In the event of excess trash, please make sure to use tightly secured trash bags.    Please label trash receptacles with your house address for easy identification.

Trash receptacles should be stored out of public view, not in front of your home.   If you can see the trash receptacle(s) from the street, it is not stored out of view.

Effective 2/14/2022, PG County implemented a New Curbside Bulk Trash Collection program.  Bulk trash items can be placed out on regular trash collection day (Thursday).

Effective July 1, 2024, You may place four (4) bulk/oversize items directly next to your trash bin only on the scheduled trash collection day.

Please note:  Mattresses and box springs must be in a protective plastic covering.

Some items, such as scrap tires and white goods including refrigerators, air conditioners, washers, dryers, and other appliances, will still need to be scheduled for pickup through PGC311;  PG County Bulk Trash removal services (301) 952-7600 or email BulkyTrash@co.pg.md.us.
